Note: We will also play games in other areas in Baltimore County.

Uniforms: Reversible basketball jerseys and shorts will be provided to each player.  Uniforms are unisex cut.

Game Days and Practices All players are required to wear high tops or quarter length basketball sneakers to practice and game days (no running sneakers, low cut sneakers and etc...). Uniform tops and shorts are required on game days.

• • Permitted: Simple hair ties and headbands in team colors.
  • Not Permitted: Jewelry, including earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, is not allowed during games for safety reasons.

Glasses If your player requires to wear glasses, please provide straps to secure the glasses and/or sports goggles.

We conduct evaluations to ensure fair and balanced competition across all teams. Evaluations are not tryouts—once your daughter's registration is paid, she is guaranteed a place on a team, regardless of her skill level or prior experience. Please note that the 5-6 year old division focuses on instruction and skill development. There is no competition at this level. Evaluations are preferred for all players.

Players are generally assigned to divisions based on their age group to ensure fair and balanced competition. However, we understand that some players may be ready for more advanced challenges.

Players have the option to "play up" one division above their age group. All requests will be considered based on skill level, safety, and development needs.

Our Girls Basketball program relies entirely on dedicated, non-paid volunteers. If you’re passionate about helping kids grow and succeed, we’d love to have you on board as a Coach or Assistant Coach! No prior basketball experience is needed—just a commitment to making a positive impact.

How to Get Involved

• Volunteer as a Coach or Assistant Coach: Make the decision to volunteer to coach a team! Click here to register as a coach.
• Background Check Requirement

• Mandatory for All: All coaches, volunteers, team parents, and anyone assisting with a team or the league must complete the Baltimore County Volunteer Background Check Program.
  • Annual Renewal: This background check must be renewed every 12 months. If you’ve already completed it for another sport or volunteer role within the past year, you don’t need to register again, but remember to renew annually.

- Click the green APPLY button next to  “P-S Communities.”

- Select Reisterstown (NOT Reisterstown Regional).

Once you’ve completed the application, there will be an opportunity to download a copy of your application. Please download and keep it as proof that you submitted it.

All players are expected to register on-line via team snap, no exceptions. We also expect that everyone will pay on-line as there is no longer an “in-person” or "mail in" options for girls' basketball, although arrangements can be made in extenuating circumstances.

It is the policy of Reisterstown Recreation Girls' Basketball to deny refunds after Winter League teams have been selected / drafted or once the Summer Program started.
