The Department of Recreation and Parks was established in 1949 to help the citizens of Baltimore County meet the leisure needs. To this end, community Recreation and Parks Councils created to partner with the Department of Recreation and Parks.
The Reisterstown Recreation Council is composed entirely of volunteers who
donate their time and efforts to provide their families, neighbors and
community members with a variety of local and affordable recreational
opportunities.

Online Facility Request Form- Use this
new online request form to ask for a facility for
registration, end-of-the-year functions, pictures, general programming, etc.
If you prefer to write it up, use
Facility Request Form, fill it out completely and turn it in to the Reisterstown Recreation Office.
Incomplete requests may not be processed. Either method of requesting a
facility is acceptable, no other method will be accepted.
*Note: requests may take 4-6 weeks to process and will NOT be
processed unless program has an approved council budget.
Budget Form- Each
program must submit a budget for the Council's approve before program
can request a facility and
initiate the registration process. For help filling out the budget form, please refer to the budget
explanations.
*Note: Plan ahead. The Council meets each
month on the second Wednesday (EXCEPT in July and August).
Registration and facility requests cannot be processed until the budget has
been voted and approved by the Rec Council's Executive Board.
Check Request
Form-
Each program must submit a check request form with each request from
the council treasurer.
Deposit
Breakdown-
Each program must submit a deposit breakdown with each deposit for the
council treasurer to enter the deposits into the right lines and accounting
purposes. Please indicate the source of funds reported such as
registrations, sponsorships, etc.
Certificate of Insurance Form-
If you are going outside of Baltimore County (but inside the state of
Maryland) and need proof of insurance at the site you are going to, please
use this form to get a Certificate of Insurance. Please allow at
least 2-4 weeks to process. Certificate of Insurance will be sent
directly to the organization that needs requires it.
Incident Reports-
Please use this form to document major injuries and incidents.
Remember, to fill out completely, accurately and with as many details as
possible for this is legal document. As soon as an incident occurs
please fill this out and submit it to the Rec Office with 24 hours.

Directive 34- Stage Usage and Stage Request Form- Baltimore County offers stages for special events of the Recreation Councils. The stages are first come, first serve starting January 1st of the calendar year.
Directive #13: Lightning- Upon the first sound of thunder or sighting of lightning, Department staff will direct all in attendance to immediately go to their cars or enter a building, if possible. No one will be allowed to return to the field until 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder and sighting of lighting.

Tournament Guidelines- Guidelines for Invitational Tournaments. This does not include in-league only tournaments and league playoffs.

>Baltimore County has had a Joint Use Agreement with Board of
Education and Dept of Recreation and Parks since 1949. That
landmark agreement splits responsibilities between the two agencies
as the facilities are shared. BOE activities (school or PTA)
has first priority, followed by Recreation and Parks. >Recreation Activity Rooms are the only school room which Recreation has priority over BOE for programming. Glyndon Elem and Cedarmere Elem are the only schools in Reisterstown community with Activity Rooms. >Incident Reports are legal documents in the court of law. Forms must be filled out completely and accurately with as much detail as possible then returned to the Recreation Office as a soon as possible. |
