REISTERSTOWN BASEBALL IS NOW REGISTERING FOR THE UPCOMING SPRING 2012 SEASON. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEW CUTOFF DATES FOR DISCOUNTS AND FOR THE CLOSING OF REGISTRATION. INFORMATION REGARDING EACH AGE GROUP LEAGUE IS BELOW.

Registration for the 2012 Reisterstown Baseball season is now open. We have kept the registration fees the same as from last season. There is a discounted reggistration until December 31, 2011. All registrations will be conducted on-line. There will not be any walk in registration. Here is the link to take you to the registration page:

When registering your player(s), you will have an opportunity to ‘volunteer’ as a manager, assistant coach, team helper, and other areas. If you do so, please make sure you complete the volunteer registration.

Some more important information:

Games are played in the Reisterstown area at the local schools and the Reisterstown Regional Park. The Stallions will also play games outside the Reisterstown area.

We are tentatively scheduled to do the Clinics with Ripken Baseball again this season for players and coahes. We are looking to incorporate this before the season starts.  More details will follow.

We have had numerous inquiries over the years regarding a Fall baseball league. The registration form will ask you for your Interest and whether a Saturday or Sunday schedule is preferred.

Age determination is as of April 30, 2012. The registration system will automatically place a player in the correct league.

The leagues are as follows:

PeeWee’s – ages 4-6: Games/practices will be on Saturday mornings at either 9am, 10:30am. or 11:30am. Each team will be assigned a practice time during the week (or every other week depending on the number of teams). This league is purely instructional. Each week a certain skill(s) will be emphasized for the first half of the scheduled game/practice time. The second half will involve a mini game with another team. We utilize coaches pitching (using tees for practice), with every player batting and running the bases each inning. Skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun will be the focal points. Cost: $65.00

Clinic - ages 7 and 8: Games on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm. Games on Saturdays anywhere from 10am start to 6pm start. The first half of the season will be coaches pitch. Player pitching will be incorporated in the second half. Cost: $75.00

Minors - ages 9 and 10: Games on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm. Games on Saturdays anywhere from 10am start to 7pm start. Cost: $85.00

Majors - ages 11 and 12: Games on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm. Games on Saturdays anywhere from 10am start to 7pm start. Cost: $95.00

Ponys - ages 13 and 14: Games on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm. Games on Saturdays anywhere from 10am start to 7pm start. Cost: $115.00

Stallions - ages 15 thru Senior in High School: Schedule subject to change. In the past games have been on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Teams in the league include Finksburg, Hampstead, Taneytown, Winfield. This league will start later than the others and will run until the end of June/beginning of July. Cost: $125.00

Important Registration Information:
   * Early Registration:
     $15 discount will apply if registered on or before 12/31/2011.
   * Late Registration:
     $10 late fee will be charged if registered on or after 02/12/2012.

Registration Closes February 29, 2012 (you get an extra day this year!)
  
   * Refund Policy:
     No Refunds given after practices start on April 2, 2012.
     Refunds prior to this date are subject to a $10 administration fee.

Important Dates:

DECEMBER 31, 2011 – discounted early registration ends

FEBRUARY 12, 2012 – last day to register without incurring a late fee.

FEBRUARY 29, 2012 - registration ends; registrations after this date are subject to being placed on a waiting list and will be charged a $10 late registration fee. This will not apply to PeeWee’s.

IN HOUSE PLAYER EVALUATIONS - We will inform you. We are looking at the end of February/beginning of March 2012 right now.

April 2, 2012 – in house teams begin practice. Please note that practice days up until opening day (see below) can be on any day during the week. Each team will also have a Saturday practice slot. After opening day, games and practice days will be as outlined above.

PICTURE WEEK - We will inform you. We are looking at the week of April 16, 2012 right now.

APRIL 21, 2012 (Saturday) – OFFICIAL Opening Day. PeeWee’s and Clinic at Franklin Middle 9am. Minors, Majors, and Ponys will have games starting 1pm.

May 19, 2012 (Saturday) – Tentative ‘Wood Bat’ day for Minors, Majors, and Ponys.

Memorial Day Weekend – leagues may schedule games on that Saturday and Monday.

June 18 2012 – in house season ends.
